Looking Back: Lessons from the Journey

Over the years, I’ve collected so many little ‘bits & pieces’ – lessons learned, moments that changed me, experiences that stretched me and things I wish I had known sooner.  Some came through joy and celebration, others through disappointment, loss, failure, or simply figuring things out as I went.

As I’ve looked back over the years, I’ve realized that these experiences aren’t just random pieces of my story.  They seem to fall into a few common themes – little “buckets” of lessons that have shaped who I am, what I believe and how I live today.

That’s really the heart behind this blog.

I want to share some of those lessons and processes along the way – not because I have everything figured out, but because I’ve lived enough life to know that sometimes someone else’s experience can help us navigate our own.  Maybe something I’ve learned the hard way will save you a little time.  Maybe a story will encourage you.  Maybe a lesson will give you a fresh perspective. Or maybe you’ll simply recognize a little piece of your own story in mine.

So, as I begin this journey of looking back, I’ve organized these ‘bits and pieces’ into a few buckets:

  • Motherhood & Life Seasons
  • Faith, Healing & Resilience
  • The Power of Journaling
  • Behind the Scenes

These are the places where life has taught me the most – and where I continue to learn.

My hope is that this blog becomes more than a collection of stories.  I hope it becomes a place for encouragement, reflection, and maybe even a little wisdom gained from experience.

Because when we take the time to look back, we often discover that the things we thought were just moments along the way were actually shaping our story all along.
